MC Learn was established in 2020 by Reba Mohutsiwa in Pampierstad with the vision of providing affordable tutoring services to students during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic. During this time, MC Learn recognised the widespread comprehension difficulties students faced, especially in STEM-related subjects, and aimed to bridge the gap and alleviate these struggles.
Today, MC Learn has evolved beyond its initial mission, and it offers a comprehensive range of services which include learner development and empowerment training sessions, learning strategy development programmes, and private tutoring. Its services are designed to be offered both online and offline to cater to individuals, study groups, and educational institutions across South Africa.
At MC Learn, our primary focus is on advocating for learner independence. We believe in addressing the root causes of students’ learning difficulties and empowering them to develop their academic and cognitive control skills. Central to MC Learn’s ethos is its founder, Reba Mohutsiwa, a dynamic researcher, mechanical engineering specialist, and academic learning strategist with teaching experience which stretches as far back as 2014. During the last couple of years, Reba has spent his time collaborating with students across different educational levels to improve and enhance their learning strategies.
